In the hospitals of the Acibadem network, in order to avoid such a side effect, they carry out a special procedure for “cleansing” from alpha and beta lymphocytes: cells that cause rejection. Thus, specialists manage to achieve success even with a transplant from a donor that is only 50% compatible.
Next, the patient is transferred to a special sterile unit, where he recovers after the procedure. Special equipment helps to protect the recipient of the bone marrow from infectious lesions, which are extremely dangerous in his situation.
