I have been treated for lung cancer for several years. So I want to compare my experience of radiation therapy in my native country and in Turkey. They are radically different. When my daughter, who lives in Turkey, suggested that I consult with their oncologist friend, I was skeptical about this. I was especially upset when radiation therapy was prescribed - after irradiation at home, I felt very bad. However, I was able to see by my own example how far Turkish medicine has gone forward. When, after the session, I began to wait for the deterioration of the condition, I was surprised, because it was not there. Of course, I experienced some discomfort afterwards, but it’s not like being at home when I couldn’t get out of bed. As my doctor explained to me, the difference is that the new machine at the Liv Clinic allows the tumor to be targeted precisely at the tumor and does not irradiate the surrounding tissue. In general, my sincere recommendation to cancer patients is that if possible, it is better to undergo irradiation abroad.
