Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)
My mother has had epilepsy for the past four years. We had consulted many neurosurgeons over the past four years but did not observe any improvement in my mother's condition. One day my colleague suggested visiting Dr. Mangaleswaran at Apollo hospital. I did some research about the neurosurgeon before booking an appointment. There were positive reviews about the treatment methods provided by the doctor, so I decided to pay a visit to my mother. He was very helpful and thoroughly listened to our problem. After that, he did some tests to check the present condition. He suggested deep brain stimulation for my mother. I had no idea about the procedure, so he explained it to me. He also guided my mother about the procedure and, after three days, performed the surgery. He kept my mother under observation for a week and referred her to the rehabilitation unit. My mother's condition has improved a lot after the surgery, and she did not have any seizures since then. She recovered quickly after rehabilitation. The doctor also suggested post-surgical care for quick recovery. My mother occasionally visits the center now for her checkup. She is living a normal and healthy life. Thanks to Dr. Mangaleswaran for his personalized approach towards my mother's treatment. I would recommend Dr. Mangaleswaran to everyone because it would not have been possible without him.
