- Later on, during the year 1990, he also completed his sports & traumatology diploma from the same institute and then got promoted to the Sports & traumatology unit as a specialist.
- After completing his Ph.D. he promoted as Vice Head of the Traumatology unit in University Clinic Vienna in 1991
- Dr. Rudolf Schabus also served in various institutes in the USA as a visiting consultant. He served in Marshall-hospital San Francisco as a senior sports & traumatology consultant.
- He also offered his services as an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Minneapolis.
- Dr. Rudolf Schabus joined Wiener Privatklinik during the year and served there as Head of competence Sports & traumatology unit.

I have always preferred Wiener Privatklinik for my treatment because of the best services of the staff. Last year during my cricket match, I injured my shoulder. I was in so much pain and was not able to move my shoulder. My friend took me to the Wiener Privatklinik. We met Dr. Rudolph, who thoroughly inspected my shoulder and suggested shoulder arthroplasty because my shoulder joint was severely fractured. I agreed to the process, and he did my surgery. After staying at the hospital for five days, I got discharged, and now I’m fully recovered.
