Educational background
- Prof. Dr. Rainer Kotz graduated from the University of Vienna, where he got his initial medical education.
- After that, he went to the USA for practice and got his equivalence medical degree in 1970 from the Educational Council of Medical graduates.
- Later on, after his return from the USA, he completed specialized training in orthopedics in 1974.
- Dr. Rainer Kotz completed his research in tumor orthopedics at the University of Vienna in 1974.
Professional experience
- Prof. Dr. Rainer Kotz worked during his early years in the orthopedics unit at the University of Vienna.
- Later he was promoted to deputy director in the same tumor orthopedics unit in 1974, where he was in charge of the unit.
- He also served in the USA for almost four years, where he also did his diploma in pediatric tumor orthopedics, and after his return, he practiced it in Austria.
- He visited many countries and served there as visiting tumor orthopedics specialist for a specified period of time.
- Currently, Prof. Dr. Rainer Kotz is associated with Wiener Privatklinik and serves there as the most senior orthopedics oncology specialist.

Hip Replacement
I had an osteosarcoma diagnose and an excellent dr in Mexico saved my leg from an amputation, for 5 years. In 1998 the last chance I had to save my leg was travelling to Wien to have a total replacement with Prof. Kotz implant. I can’t be more grateful, because I can do almost everything.

I am a person who has always missed his consultations until I went to Wiener Privatklinik for my shoulder surgery. I had an accident, and my shoulder was fractured. I have always heard about medical tourism agencies but never had a chance to contact anyone. Last year I started feeling dizzy all the time, and there was unbearable pain in my bones all the time.
