The year 2018 has been very traumatic for my family as we lost our father, and later in the year, my mother suffered from joint problems. Although she was walking, slowly she gave up and was in bed. It was a challenging time for us. I contacted a medical tourism company, Clinics on Call because I heard that they are very good at providing medical assistance. I discussed the issue with the coordinator, and he asked me to provide complete medical records if any. I sent them medical transcripts, and after evaluating the condition, they recommended consulting Dr. Avi Orhi in the Reuth medical center. They arranged an appointment for me, and the very next day, I went to the hospital with my mother. The doctor was very kind; he thoroughly checked my mother and recommended some rehabilitation exercises to improve mobility. For joint problems, he suggested joint replacement surgery. After consultation, we decided to perform surgery, and it went well. After two weeks of rest, she was sent to the rehabilitation unit, and now her condition is better, and she can walk on her own.

After giving birth to my daughter I realized I have been paralyzed in both legs. I felt like it was a nightmare soon after the thought that I might never be able to walk again hit me. When no other hospital was willing to take me in with my newborn daughter, Reuth Medical Center welcomed me with open arms. My case was referred to Dr. Dov Albukrek who told me that we don't give up on anyone. This comment of his gave me strength and his assistance helped me to walk again. When it was time to leave the hospital after my four-month journey of rehabilitation I was eager to resume my life but also felt like leaving a family behind. My mother has always complained about discomfort while walking due to knee joint pain. I was not sure about any surgery because I had a fear that it might make the condition complicated. I took my mother to Reuth medical center, as it is considered the best for rehabilitation. It was exactly the same as I have always heard. The rehabilitation specialist first did a basic checkup to detect the problem. He informed that surgery is not necessary as the condition can be improved with rewalk therapy and some physical exercises. The session went well, and now I routinely take my mother for a checkup, although she is doing fine.

We spent several anxious months trying to find the best treatment for our son after he was diagnosed with benign astrocytoma. I have been married for the past eight years but was struggling with conceiving. My partner and I did all the treatments that were recommended by gynecologists but could not get desired results. One day a friend of mine suggested that I visit the Shaare Zedek Gynecology unit for a basic checkup. I went there with my husband. We had a consultation with a senior gynecologist who performed some diagnostic tests and, after a complete checkup, recommended undergoing an IVF procedure. It was a new procedure for us, so he explained everything. At first, I was not sure about the success of the procedure, but we decided to give it a try. Fortunately, it went well, and we had a baby last year. I would recommend Shaare Zadek for infertility problems. The staff was very helpful.

Loewenstein hospital is famous in the world for its world-class rehabilitation facilities, but I never had the chance to visit the clinic. My mother has a joint problem and was not able to move properly. The situation became more intense when she started complaining about the pain in the spinal area. I took her to many specialists, but there were no visible results. One day I decided to take her to Dr. Vadim, who is a well-known spinal rehabilitation specialist at Loewenstein. He made a thorough checkup and informed me about the problem. My mother had joint surgery, but it did not work well because she was overweight. Dr. Vadim suggested starting rehabilitation therapy along with the mild physical exercises on a daily basis. He recommended having three months of rehabilitation therapy which will improve her mobility and will increase her flexibility. I agreed to it as it was the only workable solution. They performed rehabilitation therapy and other mild exercises, and now she can walk around and has no spinal pain. All thanks to Dr. Vadim’s timely assistance.

Dr. Hagay is a well-known orthopedic surgeon, as my father had joint treatment for him. Although the treatment went well and his condition improved a lot, due to his age and weight, there were other complications due to which he was not able to walk properly. So I took him again to Loewenstein and met Dr. Hagay to inform him about the current situation. He assured me that there is nothing dangerous as movement can be impaired with age. He suggested having rehabilitation therapy at the clinic to improve his ability to move joints. We decided to shift him to the hospital for six weeks so that he could get maximum care from the clinical staff. His condition improved a lot at the end of the rehabilitation session.

I have heard about Dr. Amiram’s services at Loewenstein through a friend who got his friend treated from the clinic. I was away from the country and wanted to have a checkup of my father from Dr. Amiram but did not know about the procedure. My friend told me about an online company that provides assistance regarding treatment from foreign clinics. I consulted the coordinator at Clinicsoncall, which is a leading medical tourism company. They asked me about medical data so that they could arrange a consultation. I provided them with all the necessary details, and they informed me about Dr. Amiram. I was happy that I got to have a consultation with the best surgeon. They helped us in the visa processing and also arranged appointments. We went there, met the surgeon who performed diagnostic procedures to detect the problem. After the checkup, he informed me that my father needed a microdiscectomy. Although it was a surgical procedure, but he recommended having rehabilitation after the procedure to maximize the intervention. The surgery took 60 minutes, and after that, he was kept there for rehabilitation and monitoring. During all this time, the Cliniconcall coordinator was in touch with us and assisted us throughout. After getting rehabilitation therapy for two weeks, we went back. It was a good experience, and my father is also doing fine. The services at the clinic were excellent.

I visited Loewenstein Rehabilitation Center and was attended by Dr. Sharon Shaklai, who is a nice and soft-spoken person. My experience with astrocytoma treatment at the Assuta clinic was mixed. On the one hand, the medical equipment and technology they had was modern, and I felt that I was in good hands in terms of the technical aspects of the treatment. However, I encountered problems communicating with some members of the medical staff. I felt that information about my condition or decisions about my treatment were sometimes not explained enough to me, which caused me additional stress. There were also moments when the organizational side (making appointments, waiting for test results) left much to be desired. Despite this, the treatment itself was successful and I am grateful for the level of professionalism of the doctors, especially during the operation. Overall, I'm pleased with the results, although the process was not without its challenges.
