When our family doctor recommended a hip replacement, we decided, as I am over 80, to go privately, as there are a couple of years' wait for this operation on the UK National Health Service. We decided to go abroad, as we lived in and near Prague for 20 years, and have had good experience with the Czech medical profession. It didn't take much research on the Internet to see that the Rehabilitation Clinic in Malvazinky is highly rated by patients, especially in view of its specialisation in orthopedic care. My experience has been that this high rating is fully justified, in terms of the excellent surgical, medical, physiological and nursing care and the administrative and personal welfare support. At all levels staff are competent, caring, thorough and professional in every way.

My grandmother had thyroid cancer. Our attending physician offered to go for treatment at the Anam clinic (Korea). There we came across Dr. Jung Kwan Yun. A good professional with a capital letter. He helped my grandmother, and throughout the treatment, he supported her morally. This is important, especially when you are in a foreign country. I went to DKD Hospital Wiesbaden for my regular checkup as I heard good reviews about their services. The doctor informed me that I have stage two breast cancer. However, they suggested I start immediate therapy in order to control it. The hospital staff was very helpful, so I decided to get my treatment from them. As per hospital policies, they first performed all the tests and later on suggested a few therapy options. The doctor recommended a lumpectomy as it was effective. After a week, they performed the procedure and kept me under observation for three days. I was impressed by the services they offer to the patients. I also went there for my checkups after the surgery.
