I was experiencing shortness of breath and fatigue. I dismissed these symptoms thinking that I had not worked out in a long which might a reason for that. But these symptoms became severe and I was taken to the hospital. After a series of tests the doctor told me that I had mitral valve stenosis. The doctor explained to me that the valve was unable to open fully due to which less blood moved from the atrium into the ventricle. Therefore I needed a mitral valve replacement. I was really worried after listening to the doctor. I discussed it with a colleague and he told me that one of his friend got his mitral valve replacement from Ludwig Maximillian Hospital and was satisfied with the treatment facilities. I visited Ludwig Hospital and got an appointment with a Cardiovascular Surgeon. The doctor assured me that the surgery was safe and I would be fine. The surgery went well and I feel great now.

I had a hard mass in my leg but I ignored it. After sometime I felt soreness in my muscles. So, I decided to visit a doctor. The examined me asked a few questions and told me to get a few tests done. I got a MRI and X-Ray done. Looking at my test results the doctor told me I had osteochondroma which is a benign tumor. He told me not to worry as it was isolated. The doctor monitored the tumor growth and a few months suggested that I should get a few sessions of chemo done. The treatment went fine and I feel my symptoms getting better.

I have always heard good reviews about Dr. Jens at Ludwig, and Maximilian, as a close friend of mine, had her treatment from him. Last year I had a severe stomachache and had no idea what to do to get rid of the problem. I was not sure about who to visit until my friend told me to have a consultation with Dr. Jens. I went to the clinic for my basic checkup, where he informed me that I had stage two stomach cancer. I was shocked to know, but he informed me that it could be cured as the cancer is in the initial stage. He suggested gastrectomy to eradicate tumors, and I agreed to it. The surgical procedure went smoothly, and I got discharged after a week of staying at the hospital. I took complete bed rest for a month upon Dr’s recommendation. I recovered faster than my expectations.

Incredible unprofessionalism. From April 2022 to October 2022, MRI appointments for epi patients with constant seizures became monthly!! postponed, a new date proposed by post to postpone it again and cancel it completely in October! Supposedly no free places!!! It's fun - to go to the hospital instead of university or to come to Erfurt from Brandenburg during the holidays to get the constant rejections! Well.. The last few months have been terrible for me due to my severe acid reflux. I tried to control my weight through different methods, but it did not work out. One day I visited Helios Hospital Erfurt for my checkup, and the surgeon suggested that I have bariatric surgery. He explained the procedure, and after discussion, I agreed to it. I had intestinal tumors that caused pain in my abdomen and regular vomiting and nausea. As time passed by, the condition started to get worse therefore I decided to seek medical help. My father was hypertensive for the past two years, and he was receiving medical treatment from our family surgeon. Last year, he had an ischemic attack, and since then, his condition was deteriorating with each passing day. The surgeon said that due to co-morbid conditions, it is difficult to manage the disease. However, I decided to visit the University of Erlangen because I heard about Dr. Stephan, who was working there as a senior cardiovascular surgeon. I got an appointment from the administration and took my father to the hospital. Dr. Stephan performed the ECG and did some other diagnostic procedures to check the severity of the situation. He informed me that my father needed a coronary artery stenting because there was a blockage of blood flow. It was the only suitable solution for him due to his co-morbidity. We discussed the procedure, precautions, and post-operation. The surgery took place a week later, and the doctor kept him under observation for five days. After the surgery, he is doing well and has no issues. It all happened due to Dr. Stephan’s assistance. I would recommend visiting the clinic for cardiological problems.

My father was hypertensive for the last four years, but last year we found out that both of his kidneys have stones, and his health was deteriorating rapidly. I took him to University hospital Erlangen for his checkup, where the surgeon told him that to improve his kidney status, it is important to perform a kidney transplant. Although I was not sure about it but after his bad condition, we agreed on a kidney transplant. Everything went smooth, and the transplant was also successful. The surgeon kept him under observation for three days, and then we came back home.

Ik bleek corona te hebben. Ik werd op afgelegen kamer gelegd. Eerst infuus Antibiotica . MIijn man mocht niet op de kamer komen, mijn infuus werd niet vernieuwd.. ik kreeg ook mijn medicijnen niet, geen eten en drinken. Pas om 1600 kreeg ik na veel
aandringen iets. Ik heb een dwarslaesie met nier en hartproblemen. Belangrijk is dat ik in ieder geval genoeg vocht krijg. De toon van het personeel was heel gebiedend. Als ik vroeg of ik aub mijn telefoon kon krijgen, zeiden ze gewoon dat ze hem niet konden vinden terwijl hij de hele dag zonder eten in wachtkamer zat. Een verpleegkundige liet mij briefje zien wat ze allemaal moest doen terwijl ik haar vroeg om de urine uit de postoel op te ruimen.. Die stond er al de hele dag. Ik ben 17.00 weggevlucht .onze zoon is ons komen ophalen. Zo 'n ziekenhuis vind je in Nederland niet. Ik heb 25 als Radiologisch laborante gewerkt. 2 van de kinderen zijn arts , chirurg en fysiotherapeut.
Ik heb veel in ziekenhuizen gelegen maar dit heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt. De toon waarmee men communiceert naar patiënten en bezoekers is beneden ieder peil.
