• Dr. Erkan Topuz started his professional career in 1976 by working as a radiation oncologist at Istanbul University. Later on, he was promoted to senior professor of oncology.
• In 1979, he went to Vienna and joined the Austrian Cancer Research Institute and served there for one year.
• Later on, Dr. Erkan went to Germany, where he joined the famous University of Erlangen and served in the oncology unit for quite some time. He treated hundreds of patients dealing with end-stage cancer diseases.
• He also worked in England during his training and joined Marsden Hospital, where he served as visiting consultant in radiation oncology.
• On his return to Turkey, Dr. Erkan rejoined Istanbul University Hospital and was among the senior faculty members.
• In 1997, Dr. Erkan went to the USA and joined the very famous John Hopkins Institute. By working with the leading oncologists, he gained vast experience.
• He also worked in Nuremberg Hospital as a senior intern in oncology. He served there for more than a year.
• Later on, Dr. Erkan joined Emsey Hospital and served in the pediatric oncology unit. He left the institute after serving there for a few months and joined Yeni Yuzyil Cancer Institute.
• In 2019, Dr. Erkan joined the Oncology Unit at Medistate Hospital and is currently serving there as a senior oncologist.
