When our family doctor recommended a hip replacement, we decided, as I am over 80, to go privately, as there are a couple of years' wait for this operation on the UK National Health Service. We decided to go abroad, as we lived in and near Prague for 20 years, and have had good experience with the Czech medical profession. It didn't take much research on the Internet to see that the Rehabilitation Clinic in Malvazinky is highly rated by patients, especially in view of its specialisation in orthopedic care. My experience has been that this high rating is fully justified, in terms of the excellent surgical, medical, physiological and nursing care and the administrative and personal welfare support. At all levels staff are competent, caring, thorough and professional in every way.

I thank the doctors who recommended this clinic to remove the prostate with a tumor. Although the tumor was benign, it grew quickly and did not respond to treatment. The operation went quickly, I recovered in just 4 days. In 2021, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This came as a real shock to me. I applied to several clinics in different countries, but in the end I chose Motol.
