A brain tumor is abnormal cell growth in different regions of the brain. Brain tumors can be benign which means they are not cancerous while some are malignant which means they are cancerous. There are around 120 different kinds of brain tumors that initiate in distinct regions. One of the most common types of tumors is gliomas which initiate in glial cells.
Some tumors grow in astrocyte tissues and some in pituitary glands. Some examples of malignant tumors include glioblastoma, ependymomas, and oligodendrogliomas. On the other hand examples of benign tumors are meningioma, craniopharyngiomas, and pituitary tumors.
Although benign tumors are not cancerous they can also cause brain damage and some can even transform into cancer thus treatment for both types is required. The treatment options for brain tumors include radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and surgery. Different surgical procedures are done to treat different types of tumors which include craniotomy, neuroendoscopy, thrombectomy, and deep brain stimulation.

However, I encountered problems communicating with some members of the medical staff. I have been treating lymphoma for a long time. I am very glad that I went abroad to Germany. I came across a wonderful hematologist, chemotherapist and not only Dr. Axel Shtang. My experience with brain cancer treatment at Samsung Medical Center was surprisingly good. The surgery was performed with a high degree of skill and I felt in good hands throughout the entire process. The doctors and nurses were extremely attentive and caring. They provided me with all the information and support I needed during my treatment. I appreciate their work and professional approach to my case. I went through chemotherapy with nausea, as expected, but overall the experience was good. The clinic is at a high level.

I experienced trigeminal neuralgia last year and it was probably the most painful time of my life. After many consultations and searching for possible treatment options, I turned to the Clinics On Call coordinators for help, and they offered me a Samsung clinic in South Korea. I want to share my experience of treating cerebral aneurysm in South Korea. My life changed dramatically when I was diagnosed with an aneurysm. To the facilities especially children Department, the place is colorful and awesome atmosphere interior design children friendly. Plus the apparatus and equipment are just wonderful ( x-rays, echocardiogram, ekg). I could only wish that my country has it one day especially for children Department.
To the caring nurses, in the station we will never forget you. To the consultation office welldone!
To summed all my worries about operation gone after my Little Sunsine was completely fit and healthy after 5 days Wow!

I did not have much confidence in neurosurgeons in my country, so I considered the treatment of astrocytoma in the near abroad. In Germany, I would not have afforded the cost, so I considered the Czech Republic. I opted for the Motol clinic. My friends described it to me as one of the top clinics in the country. In general, I was satisfied with the treatment. The operation was successful, all the problems that the tumor provoked have now been resolved.

In the Czech Republic I underwent the operation for my bladder cancer removal at the Motol clinic. The examination was done by PET-CT and cytological analysis of urine. The cost of these procedures were normal, and we got the results instantly, unlike in our country. So this is a small plus for my treatment in the Czech Republic.

I was diagnosed with glioblastoma. My neurosurgeon told me that the best-suited treatment option was to remove the tumor. The neurosurgeon removed the tumor through craniotomy. After the surgery I went through a few sessions of radiotherapy. The treatment went well and I feel better now.
